Case study for
Okutembuka Safaris CC
WordPress Website Development
The project entailed building a website for Okutembuka Safaris to showcase safari itineraries, highlight key locations, and feature excursions with dynamic content for easy exploration.

Project Overview
The project aimed to build a strong online presence for Okutembuka Safaris by showcasing itinerary ideas as inspiration, listing key locations to visit during tours, and highlighting various excursions. The goal was to create a dynamic website where visitors can easily explore and discover different travel options, with content that links seamlessly to encourage further browsing and engagement.
My Role
My role was to act as creative director and devil’s advocate, guiding the client on effective solutions, presenting ideas, and bringing their vision and brand to life. I was also responsible for designing and building all the pages, along with the development of the site in WordPress, ensuring content updates remained simple and easy to manage.
Challenges
The challenge in this project was balancing the amount of information provided for the tour itineraries—enough to inspire potential clients without giving away so much that they could bypass the service and create their own tours.
The Process
Planning & Research
The research and planning for this project were extensive, involving analysis of competitor sites for inspiration while ensuring we infused local flavor into the design to make the website unique and relevant to the target audience.
Outcome
Finished Design
Reflection
Upon reflection, I wouldn’t change anything about the project. However, I now have more ideas on how to improve page layouts, better integrate relevant information, and enhance the blog to further engage visitors.
