Case study for
Charcoal Assoc. of Namibia
WordPress Website Redesign
Developed a modern, easy-to-update website for the Charcoal Association of Namibia, featuring a directory for members and essential document downloads.
Project Overview
The Charcoal Association of Namibia approached me to create a modern, easy-to-navigate website that would serve as a central hub for their members and industry resources. They needed a user-friendly directory for charcoal processors and associate members, as well as a section for essential document downloads. The goal was to provide a professional, streamlined design that would be easy for them to update regularly.
My Role
As the web designer and developer for the Charcoal Association of Namibia’s website, my role included recompiling and updating the existing content, incorporating specific requests from the CAON manager, writing all site descriptions, and providing strategic input on how best to present information throughout the site.
Challenges
Challenges were minimal, with the main delay being the extended time needed for board approval.
The Process
Planning & Research
In planning and research, I explored directory-style designs and solutions for easy, reload-free filtering. I also collaborated with the CAON team to discuss available images and content for associate members and sponsored sections.
Outcome
Finished Design
Reflection
Working on this project taught me a great deal about Namibia’s charcoal industry and reinforced the importance of staying adaptable to frequent updates and new requirements.
